Conversations with Jimmy

“Conversations with Jimmy” uses the award-winning film classic James Baldwin: The Price of the Ticket – recently re-mastered to Digital Wide Screen HD – to spark discussion on diversity, discrimination, and the meaning of brotherhood in the context of current events. This screening is cosponsored by the New Orleans Jazz Museum, the Louisiana Museum Foundation, and the National Park Service. The evening will begin with music by Carl LeBlanc at 6:00 pm. The film screening will start at 6:30 pm and will be followed by a discussion among audience members, musicians, park rangers, and film makers Karen Thorsen and Douglas K. Dempsey. The musical performance, film screening, and discussion are all free and open to the public.
